Resolution Life has approved Advisers sending emails through to us on any customer transaction for two reasons:

  • To create an efficient communication system between Resolution Life and Advisers, and
  • To ensure we manage requests from Advisers effectively.

When sending information through email there is a high risk, as the email could be hacked and the fraudster could be utilizing the email, posing as the customer and requesting changes to certain information. To mitigate the risk around fraudulent information being sent through and to provide the relevant information for a transaction to be completed, we have set up the following processes.

Please note: the My Resolution Life portal is the preferential point of contact between yourself and Resolution Life.

Process

  • All emails sent in by yourself must:
    • be from your nominated email address (email address that Resolution Life has on file/ system),
    • have the customer nominated email cc’d.

The following transactions are in scope

Alterations

  • Cancellations
  • Withdrawals and maturities (follow normal business payment rules)
  • Increase/decrease in sum insured
  • Addition or cancellation of benefit
  • Reassessment
  • Reinstatement applications
  • Continuation options
  • New Business options
  • Loans on policy
  • Transfer of ownership – Original documentation needs to be mailed in as well
  • Death vesting
  • PoA - Original documentation needs to be mailed in as well
  • EPoA - Original documentation needs to be mailed in as well
