Our transition to Acenda Life
We’re bringing our New Zealand businesses together under a single life entity, Acenda Life, from 2027, subject to regulatory approval. This is part of our broader plans to invest in and grow our business in New Zealand following the acquisition by Nippon Life.
The transition to Acenda Life will take place in two stages, starting with a staged transfer of Resolution Life NZ policies to Asteron Life. There is no immediate change to the way you or your clients are supported, and there is nothing you need to do right now.
Currently, both Australian and New Zealand policies sit within the same statutory fund. As part of the first stage, we’ve begun writing to your clients about our proposal to split our Statutory Funds into two. A new Statutory Fund No. 5 will be established to hold the assets used to support only our New Zealand policyholders, including paying their claims. At the same time, we’ll be letting them know about our plans to become Acenda Life.
In 2027, all RLA New Zealand policies will transfer to our New Zealand life insurance business, Asteron Life, which will become Acenda Life.
We’re writing to our policyholders
From 13 July we began writing to all our RLA New Zealand policyholders, to let them know about this proposal and invite their feedback. We sent an email to all our subscribing advisers on Thursday 9 July with more information to enable you to answer any questions your clients may have.

Plan summary now available online
No more digging through information or waiting on requests - you can now quickly and securely download a comprehensive plan summary for your clients, all in one place. Depending on the product, it can include:
- Product details
- Insurance details
- Investment details
- Premium details
- Payment details
- Adviser details
How do I access the plan summary?
It’s easy! You can access it in 3 easy steps:
- Log in to My Resolution Life
- Search by ‘Client Policy Number’, enter the policy number into the box and click ‘Search’. In ‘Customer Search’ click on the ‘+’ then click ’View Policy‘
- From the left navigation, select ‘Documents & Forms’ and then ‘Plan Summary’ to automatically download the plan summary.

It’s important to note that any recent changes may not reflect in the plan summary. If you would like the most up-to-date information about your client’s policy(s), please get in touch.
