    David has over 35 years’ experience in investment banking, funds management, property investment and retail banking where he developed a deep understanding of fiduciary duties and risk considerations.

    Previous executive roles include Chief Executive of Investec Bank (Australia) Ltd, BT Financial Group, MLC Limited and Lloyds Merchant Bank. David is currently a non-executive director and Chairman of Charter Hall Group, Chairman of AUB Ltd, and Chairman of Fisher Funds Management Ltd.

    David’s principal place of residence is Sydney, Australia.

  • Megan Beer

    RESOLUTION LIFE

    Megan transferred to Resolution Life in 2020 as CEO of the Australasian region, after leading AMP Life through the separation from AMP, and appointed as Group Chief Operating Officer for Resolution Life in 2023.

    Megan has nearly 30 years experience in the financial services industry, spanning executive, operational, finance, actuarial and consulting roles at AMP, NAB/MLC, Tower (now TAL) and Tillinghast (Consulting Actuaries). Megan’s prior roles have included CEO AMP Life, Group Executive Insurance and Strategy at AMP, General Manager Bancassurance & Direct and General Manager Group Insurance at NAB/MLC.

    Megan is a Fellow of the institute of Actuaries of Australia, a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, holds a Master of Economics from Macquarie University, a Master of Business Administration (Executive) from the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of New South Wales, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

    Megan is a Director and Immediate Past President of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance.

    Tim's extensive insurance industry background extends over 20 years in executive roles across distribution, strategy, M&A, reinsurance, product, pricing, marketing and government relations. Before joining Resolution Life, Tim was the CEO of Medical Indemnity, the largest medical indemnity insurer in Australia. Prior to Avante Mutual, Tim was the CEO of AIA Health Insurance, Chief Marketing Officer of AIA and successfully led significant insurance business acquisitions and integration programs in Australia and New Zealand.

    Involved in a broad range of sectors including insurance, infrastructure, industrial operations, funds management, property, and regulatory authorities in both the public and private sector.

    Current directorships span Financial Services, Infrastructure and Transport, Technology and Innovation, Education, and Public Policy (Taxation). She is also Deputy Chair of the Australia Council for the Arts.

    Previously, a senior partner with KPMG with both global management responsibilities and a member of the Australian Senior Leadership Team.

    Chair of the Board of Taxation, an Independent Government Advisory Board which advises the Australian Treasurer on the Australian Taxation System.

  • Melissa Babbage

    Melissa is currently a Non Executive Director of Resolution Life, Swiss Re Asia, Swiss Re Life & Health Australia, and a member of the Investment Committees for Ord Minnett Private Opportunities Fund and the 1941 Fund.  

    Commencing as a Non-Executive Director in 2011, Melissa held several Board roles in Australia before relocating to the US from 2016-2020. She was a Non Executive Director of Q Super, Swiss Re Australia, Mercer Investments, St Vincent’s Health & Aged Care, the IOOF Foundation and Athletics Australia. She has chaired Investment, Risk and Audit Committees on these boards.

    Before moving into Board positions, Melissa enjoyed a twenty year career in both international and domestic financial markets. Commencing in interest rate derivatives trading at Bankers Trust in 1992, she then moved to Commodities trading at Deutsche Bank in 1997. In 2000 she was appointed as Managing Director, and in this capacity had roles as Head of Global Finance and Foreign Exchange A/NZ for Deutsche Bank Australia, Head of Commodities Asia-Pacific, and was a member of the Global Executive team.

    Melissa is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a member of Chief Executive Women. 

  • Jonathan Moss

    RESOLUTION LIFE

    Jonathan joined Resolution Life as the group chief risk officer in November 2017.

    Jonathan was previously deputy CEO and CFO of Aviva France, after serving as the general manager of the Heritage division of Friends Life.

    Previously, Jonathan was group CEO of Phoenix Group after having roles as CEO of Pearl Group Limited and as CFO of Phoenix. Jonathan has held roles in AMP, as chief actuary, as well as serving as appointed actuary for a number of AMP’s UK businesses.

    Jonathan began his career at Watson & Sons and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
