We're here for our customers

Resolution Life has a unique business model in the New Zealand life insurance market. As an in-force life insurance specialist, our focus is on managing and supporting our existing customers rather than spending time, money and energy trying to get new ones.

The value of cover

We offer a wide range of insurance covers that help protect you and your family against financial insecurity in the event of an illness, injury or death. This includes:

  • Life insurance
  • Income protection
  • Trauma cover
  • Total and permanent disability cover

Each of our insurance products offers features to make your cover valuable and flexible. For example, you can choose to apply indexation to your cover, so your benefit amount increases in line with the cost of living each year. You can find out more about product features on our website or contact your Financial Adviser.

These products are designed to protect you and your loved ones from the unexpected. If the unexpected happens, personal insurance can help you financially.

Most people wouldn’t dream of having an uninsured house or car, but often neglect insuring their ability to earn an income and protect their family from the financial impact of illness, death, accidents and disabilities.

The following example gives you an idea of the difference that protecting your income could make during a very difficult time.

Example

Helping Mitchell with his recovery and return to work.

Mitchell, an AMP Life income protection customer, wrote to let us know about the incredible effect a return to work goal and the support of his case manager had on his recovery; a journey also made possible by the financial support provided by his income protection policy.

I was hospitalised and placed in a coma for five weeks and given no chance of survival. My wife was repeatedly asked to place me on comfort care. I survived. I was told when I left the hospital, it would most likely be in a wheelchair. I was told to take my time. The problem with that advice is that I love what I do. I’m stubborn and wanted to get back to work as soon as is practical. I was unable to move but knew what I wanted and focussed on my goal to return to normality. This wouldn’t have been possible to achieve without the support of my case manager at AMP Life.

I have nothing but praise. They showed concern and established a level of trust that I will always remember.

Please note this example is illustrative only and is not an estimate of the insured amount you will receive or fees and costs you will incur. This example is based on the following assumptions (a) the cover amount remains the same throughout the period and the policy is not cancelled or suspended and (b) No waiting period applies to the policy.
