New quoting tool
Adjusting your insurance cover just got easier, with the introduction of the Cover Adjustment tool.
We’re excited to introduce the new Cover Adjustment tool which provides the option to manage your cover through the My Resolution Life portal. You can obtain insurance alteration quotes in real time so you can see the immediate impact on your premium.
The new Cover Adjustment tool allows you to:
• View your current level of cover and premium details in the My Resolution Life portal
• Reduce your cover amount to potentially lower your premiums
• If applicable, change your income protection waiting and benefit periods with ease
• Instantly receive updated quotes
Before taking any action, you should always seek independent financial advice or other professional advice relevant to your personal circumstances.
The new Cover Adjustment tool is currently available for the following product sets:
• Risk Protection Plan
• Business Risk Protection Plan
• Income Protection Plan
• Quick Start
The Cover Adjustment Tool is not currently available for Lifetrack products.
You can find the Cover Adjustment tool in the My Resolution Life portal by selecting a policy for one of the above products, in the left hand menu, select “Request a quote” and then select “Cover Adjustment tool”.

For any other product changes, please continue to use the cover change form which you can find in the left-hand menu under “Manage my cover”.
Please note the quote is not binding until it is accepted and confirmed in writing by us. Use of the Cover Adjustment tool is subject to terms and conditions.

New cooling off period for policy changes
Resolution Life is pleased to announce a new provision, designed to support you in managing your policy and provide you with an opportunity to review your decisions.
If you request to decrease your cover or cancel your policy, you’ll now have a seven (7) business day cooling-off period from the date we receive your request to change your mind. While we will always act on your direction, we continue to strongly encourage you to review your policy carefully and discuss your specific needs with your financial adviser before making any policy changes.
How the 7-day cooling-off period will operate:
• Processing remains immediate: We’ll continue to process your requests for decrease or cancellation as they’re received, without delay. We won’t pend or delay any requests.
• Requesting a reversal: If you wish to reverse a request, you must contact Resolution Life directly within the 7 business day cooling-off period. You will also need to authorise any repayment of premiums that may have been refunded.
• Applicability: This 7-day cooling-off period applies exclusively to requests initiated directly from you. It does not apply to requests submitted by your adviser on your behalf.
• Scope: This applies to all partial and full cancellations, and is available for all cover types
• Out-of-time requests: Any requests to reverse any changes after 7 business days will be subject to underwriting approval. If underwriting declines your application, the changes may not be able to be reversed. Alternatively, if underwriting accepts your application, it may be on revised terms – such as higher premium rates and/or exclusions that did not previously apply.
